Danish winners and a new champion
by Stine Hjelme ·
Lene and I did go to the Danish Winner 2015 show in Herning November 1st 2015 - What a day! New titles and yet another group win.
At the Chow Chow ring both Mandela and Nelly took the lead and won best male and female - and both were titled Danish Winner 2015. Lene made her debut as Chow handler and showed Nelly in best of breed competition against Mandela and me. Despite Lene and Nelly fine handling it was Mandela who won best of breed (BOB), which is his 10th BOB in Denmark this year - and his 8th Danish show in a row winning BOB / BOS.
For Nelly it was the second year in a row as Danish winner, as show also won the title last year. The show this year was Nelly's first show after she turned 2 years, so today's Certificate/CAC triggered no less than 4 new champion titles to Nelly; Danish, Finnish, Swedish and Nordic Champion.
The Border Terrier ring went well. Gizmo first won his class and was then placed as 3rd best bitch.
In the afternoon Mandela represented the Chow Chow breed in main ring. This year’s theme in the main ring was pirates. All helpers were dressed in pirate clothes, the back curtain was a pirate ship and in one corner of the ring was the treasure chest hidden at the "beach. A beautiful frame for DKKs last show of the year.
As always, there was strong representation of beautiful dogs in group 5, but Mandela did great and took the group win under special breed judge Peter L. Jensen. It was Mandela's fifth group placement this years.
